Welcome to Pittenweem Art Gallery situated in Wester Grangemuir, Pittenweem, in the East Neuk of Fife Scotland

Well, this is how it read before we were asked to vacate the premises to allow a rather noisy and potentially dangerous business to operate next door to us.

The Gallery was set up in Aug 2008 specifically to exhibit arts and crafts of local artist and for the display of Pottery made on site.  Clarice Cliff, Josiah Wedgwood etc, have all been collected extensively so that it is rare to find a piece for a bargin and that has value. Because they are so popular, the true value has been put on them and it's hard to find one that has been overlooked. One of the secrets in buying a work of art is to buy from up and coming artists while their prices are low. Professor Richard Demarco will vouch for that. That's what we had here. Emerging artist producing mature works of art.

The Art Gallery & Pittenweem Pottery were at the same venue in Wester Grangemuir Pittenweem.

Above is a 270 degree photo of the former gallery. Toby Anstruther benefited from all the work and money spent in transforming the buildings into useful buildings. Sam Parsons, the factor of Balcaskie estate was brutal in his dealings with us.

Fabric Art by Aileen Clarke above and water colours, acrylic and oils by Rosalind Crawford below along with Wood turning by Bob Murray.

We had a resident artist in the complex, Kate Shearer, a resident Potter, Steve Wright and other local artists. Among them are Rosalind Crawford who works in oils, water colour and acrylics and is now expanding into textiles. Heather Murray who also works in ceramics making jewellery etc in porcelain & raku and Bob Murray who works with wood making fine furniture and wood turnings.
